The Supreme Council for Environment has signed a collaboration agreement with Foulath Holding for the planting and conservation of mangrove trees. The signing ceremony took place in the presence of Ms. Amna Hamad Al-Rumaihi, Acting Director of Communications & Environmental Awareness at the Supreme Council for Environment, and Mr. Bader Ali Al Timimi, General Manager of Human Resources and Administration at Foulath Holding.

The partnership stems from the Supreme Council for Environment’s vision and objectives to protect the environment and conserve its living resources for future generations. In addition to its commitment to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the Council will continue to partner with various public and private sector entities to create more green spaces and double the number of mangroves in the Kingdom.

Foulath Holding stressed the importance of its partnership with the Council, in line with its continuous endeavors to sponsor various projects aimed at improving the environment and increasing environmental awareness in the Kingdom of Bahrain. This step falls under the organization’s Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) strategy and social responsibility framework, in addition to a number of environmental projects achieved over the past decades.

The agreement stipulates that Foulath Holding will be tasked with sponsoring the Council’s initiatives, especially its mangrove plant cultivation projects, while the Council will support with transporting and delivering the seedlings, as well as overseeing their planting.

The Supreme Council for Environment expressed its appreciation for Foulath’s efforts towards environmental conservation and support for environmental projects that aim to enhance the Kingdom’s efforts to address and adapt to the impacts of climate change, wishing continued success for both parties on the path towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
