Mr. P. M. Edwin serves as the Group Chief Technical Officer at Foulath, overseeing all strategic, technical and operational initiatives across the group. With a foundation in Mechanical Engineering, his career spans more than four decades, beginning with a technical internship at Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (Bangalore), followed by hands- on experience at Machinery Manufacturers Corporation (Calcutta). He further strengthened his technical expertise in pelletizing operations during his tenure at Kudremukh Iron Ore Company Limited (Mangalore).
His 36 years with Bahrain Steel form the core of his professional journey. Over this period, he advanced through roles of increasing responsibility to reach his current executive position. His leadership has been centered on driving operational excellence in pellet plant operations, with a strong record in debottlenecking, process improvement, and system optimization.
A significant milestone in his career has been the successful capacity enhancement of Pellet Plant #1 and #2. Under his guidance, annual production was elevated to a record 13 million tons—consistently exceeding the original design capacity of 11 million tons—and generating substantial strategic value for the organization.
His expertise is deeply rooted in field experience and a practical, hands-on approach to resolving complex production challenges. He remains committed to ensuring that operations perform at peak efficiency, reliably surpassing industry benchmarks and designed capabilities.
